Promise
Prologue
Of the Covents that were killed in the war of blood only four remain. The clan of Jonathan, The clan of Quebec, The clan of Elizabeth and The clan of Cassandra are all that are left and form the Covent of today.
Chapter 1 The brothers of the Bridewoks “Hi guys what up” “Where were you Derek? “Demanded Jake. “I drove by your house to pick you up.” “I had things to do and places to be Jake bud out.” Snapped Derek.” So how’s the party?” “Don’t know we just got here.” Answered Tyler. “Well there’s one way to find out” Derek laugh as he jumped of the cliff into the ocean below doing four front flips as he dropped. “Show off.” Jake said in disgust. But he followed suit and jump doing three front flips and two full twists before hitting the water. “Why put so much effort into things?” Tyler asked himself as he back away to the other side the cliff. He landed lazily on the sand below without braking stride. As he walked over the party down the beach Derek and Jake got out of the water. “You kill all the fun.” Derek complained. “Well you get plenty of fun at you party so leave Tyler alone you know he doesn’t like fancy things.” Jake snapped. Derek stuck out his tongue but shut up. “Come on lets go.” Tyler suggested. “Fine” both Jake and Derek answered. They turn and walked towards the party.
Had any one had seen those boys jump they would have been scared to death for the cliff was well over two hundred feet high.
“There here. There here.” Was repeated through out crowded in hushed voices. “The Bridewoks are here,” Whispered Ash to her friend, Casey. “Who are the Bridewoks?” Casey asked. “They are descends of the Bridewoks who are the founders of our school. And my cousins.” She smiled at me. I looked at the boys who were approaching there was a tall blond maybe six feet tall with a wild partier look, and a browned hair boy maybe slightly sorter then the blond he had a very distant look on his face but his eye were seemly watching everyone at once, and both of the were walking behind almost like guards for the third boy. This boy was different then the other two. If they had being in the army you would say he was a few ranks high. His hair was brown like the boy on his right. But unlike him he let his hair run wild and unkempt far from ruining his looks it seemed to help them he had odd but beautiful ice blue eyes. You could see on his compassion but for no one directly he walks carefully, and though they were cousins it was evident that the other two respected him. They had come out of the woods to the south. Though she was new here she believed that they must have come from the beach that was the only way they could have been coming from that way. “Hola Ash como estas?” said the ice eyed one. “Hello Tyler I’m fine. Why speak in Spanish that not you language.” Ash replied. “Am I not allowed to practice my classes?” Tyler asked as he hugged her. He smiled as he turned towards me. “And you are?” “I-I’m Casey” I stammered. He smiled and grabbed my hand bent over and kissed my hand nice to meet you Casey. He stepped aside to let the other two greet us both the blond who I now know as Derek and the brown hair one know as Jake hugged Ash and kissed my hand as Tyler had. With our greetings finished I looked around everyone else had been watching the whole thing I blushed at being the center of attention. There were many boy’s looking at me with interest and even more girls looking at me with disgust.
“So what do you know about the Bridewoks?” I asked ash. We were in our dorm room. I had started school here only a week ago and I had never seen them until too day. “Well then are my cousins and they normally keep to themselves and everyone wants to be them. A+ students pretty much pro-athletes in three sports each and they are all well…. hot I mean you saw Jake right?” “Jake he was the hmm…. the brown haired one right the one who look like he was watching everyone?” I saw the disappointment in her eye before she answered “Ya he is absolutely beautiful.” She answered in a slightly hurt tone. Apparently she didn’t like the fact that I barely remembered him. “Isn’t he your cousin? Though you shouldn’t think of him like that.” I asked. “Well truly Tyler’s my only cousin Jake and Derek aren’t my cousins but because they his I think of them as that. Or at least I think of Derek that way. Jake and me are going out right know.” “How are they his cousins but not yours?’ “Tyler’s family is descendents of a rule family in that time a lord or high raking citizen could adopt anyone into they family as any members they choose his family choose to make Jake and Derek families the cousin I guess. But when a person or family are adopted this way they are only family to the ones who adopted them and there children.” She explained.
Tyler was in the middle of soccer practice but he just could seem to focus. That girl Casey had been so beautiful. She was thin but not grossly so maybe five six with like brown almost blond hair. And eye’s the like of which I’ve never seen before. So like blue they were almost silver with little twinges of light brown almost gold around the pupil. She wore her hair loosely no pony tail or anything just long enough to lightly rest on her shoulders. Her face was sharp almost elf like. (He had never seen a real elf but had read many books that described them) with a higher jaw bone he might have mistaken her for one. “Hay Tyler pay attention” Yelled the coach Mr. Anderson. Just in time for me to see the ball and get it in time.
