I HATE the state so much! Today I went to register for classes and they wouldn't count my AP english credit (I scored a 3) because in the state of ******** you need to score at least a 4 for it to count!

AHHHH!!!

This makes me so angry! I'm an excellent writer (heh though this journal thang doesn't really show it) I just don't test well. Chances are it was the morning after a night of hearing my parents argue into the wee hours of the morning (because that's basically every night) and the possibility that I ate a decent breakfast is also rather slim. But that's not the point!

When it comes to tests I'm out of my element because no matter what they tell you, they are looking for predetermined things. How can you take the art of writing, butcher it to hell, zap the human passion right out of it, and still expect something amazing? It just pisses me off! Let me write about Botticelli, let me write about evolution, give me an essay on freedom and culture! But, don't ask me to write three pages analyzing the "poetic structure" of stanza 16 and still expect it to be just as powerful! What is wrong with these people?!

While my mind is swirling with thoughts of the government, society, religion, and technology, how do you expect me to even give half a damn about the author's use of hyperbole?! AH! It just drives me insane! Is this what my state values in a student?! Do they even give a damn about this bullshit?! Do they even give a damn about the students?!
