My father, on the other hand, didn't give a care in the world where I would end up. Then again, I felt the same for him. He lives in a trailer somewhere in New Mexico with his replacement family.
In school I was in the band, chorus, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, etc. I was basically in everything I could get into. I am always in AP classes and frankly, I'm tired of being the smart one.
My mother has always pushed me because herself and many generations before her, didn't have the chance I have now. None got into college. None even had the chance to apply. In my family the woman is only good for cooking, cleaning, and bearing children. My mother definitely did not want that for me.
