"Yes. But I think we should rest & eat."
"Agreed."
After they ate, they continued the climb. Rena reached the cave opening first. Lyle nearly bumped into her back when she suddenly halted.
"What's wrong?" he asked
Rena didn't respond, instead she knelt down.
"There are fresh claw marks here." She finally said
"What? How can be? maybe it's from grappling hooks."
"See for yourself."
Rena stepped to the side. Huge scratches and scrapes were carved on the stone. And something else. Mud. Mud were near the marks.
Thud. Louder, it's closer.Thud. It's not charging.Thud. They jumped at the sound.
