Just when I thought Gaia couldn't fail any harder, here's Lanzer's latest announcement.
NASA is hosting a naming contest for the new addition to the International Space Station. Let's take part in this historical event and name it Gaia!
The International Space Station’s Node 3 – a connecting module and its cupola – will have 7 windows to provide a panoramic view of our planet. Gaia would be a perfect name for the new module (the word Gaia originally refers to the Greek goddess of the planet Earth), and it's also a chance for us Gaians to let our voice be heard.
To vote for Gaia, just visit this page, click the "Suggest Your Own" option, and type in Gaia.
I swear, I have now officially lost all faith in mankind.
>_>
