The rain poured over him, like a punishment for the damned. It wouldn't stop. But that wasn't the problem that bothered him. He needed something to return home with... He had to. What would happen if he didn't? Who would come after me?
He sighed, It's a good thing I left Ceria, he thought. What would happen if she was following, and I was being followed? What would they do to her? It is better this way. She is safe and I am...- the rain poured harder at the beconning of thunder- soaked.
Derran walked by the place where he had first tried to kill her. He smiled and stopped cold in his tracks. After a few moment he hit his head. "Dammit!" He said to himself. I can't believe I touched her there, he thought. And got away with it....
He chuckled to himself and walked on. He'd have to go back to Kiryu to see Jirana. He had a hunch that she was the guardian of the eyes of Tarin.
Two sets of eyes tucked away in the bushes. They glared at the prince of the fire nation with disdain. And within moments they vanished for a closer watch.
Night set and took the rain with it. The light of the rising sun burned his eyes when exiting the forest. But he perfered that pain than the mixed one's he'd been feeling. What in this world was wrong with him. I can't get her image out... He tightened fists in frustration upon arrival of Kiryu.
He entered the back gates with a much less hastle than entering from the main. Until he looked more intently at the reason why, the answer was most understood. There wasn't a back gate to start with. Infact there weren't guards anywhere to be found. No sounds, no sight. A thick cloud of dust engulfed the city in a haze. Derran blinked.
He gasped at the horror upon looking down. Dead bodies sprawled on the floor in a fashion most known to him. They were crispy fried and well done. Fire nation was here.
