this is a story I've worked on since the fifth grade about five years ago. it isn't published yet' but i'm gonna post this little fragment of that story. Enjoy.

the war that had separated him from the girl he loved all this time is finaly over. but a huge sacrifice was made. and the setting is all wrong. it was too peacefull. the moon was full, and shown with it's own briliant radiant light, that reflected in the lake below. fire flies lingered above the lakes surface. frogs croaked. grasshoppers and crickets chirped. and the stars are shinnig bright. each standing out from the rest with its own light. but this isnt right after she had seen him for what he realy is, he thaught she would have realy hated him.
his ears are perked on the top of his head. his body is twice it's usual size, his. face is that of a wolf, standing on his hind legs, his fingers hand long sharp nails. and his body is covered in jet black messy fur. the only thing that remained unchanged, is his eyes. his eyes are still the same cold silver eyes they had been from the moment they first met. the moment he set her down,she turned to see him. she looked directly into his eyes. her expression is unreadable to him.
"Cody? Is that realy you?"
Cody opened his eyes and looked up at her. his shame, his pain, his fear. all clear to her for the first time. those familiar silver eyes, glared at her without meaning to. he expected her to be frightened. but it didnt seem that way to him. she knew she should have been afraid at the moment but she wasnt. she was worried.
"Cody? I know you can talk, please say something."
Cody hesitated. when he finaly spoke his voice didnt seem to fit his current form. his voice was unchanged. the same voice that could put the enraged at ease. the sound of his voice that sounded so musical. this voice is the one she could never forget.
"Deniel.... I'm sorry..."
"that's it? No ''I love you'?"
Cody looked down at her in wonder, completely confused.
"You dont--"
"Cody...." Deniel interupted. "I wouldn't love you any less if you were a boar. I love you now, and i will always love you."
Deniel lunged forward, and threw her arms around Cody's fur covered body. Cody wrapped his arms around her, as she burried her face in his fur.
