The Clown
She always wears that smiling mask of a clown. They’ve known each other so long, yet even the Ragdoll can’t see through it at times. You say you love her, little clown, so why do you hide behind a mask? Are you afraid of this world? Little clown, what do you look like behind that mask? The Ragdoll has never cared about looks, and she would think you were lovely no matter what. Will you show her your face, or continue to hide and watch her die?
You sit there in the background, laughing with us at times, but we all know who you’re really looking at. The girl who used to sit here laughing with us is waiting for a savior, so won’t you be the one to save her? She’s on the path of self-destruction with no brakes along the way. She trusts only you now, so why don’t you stop hiding and save her?
You have her picture with you, one of the few that she smiles in. It is your dearest possession, but why won’t you take the real thing? Are you afraid of the world? Your dearest is on the path of self-destruction, and you do nothing but watch. Walk through the spears of this world, walk by her side, and stop her. Tell her to keep on walking on a different path, for you are the only one that can.
Give her your all, little clown, because it’s what she needs. As he walks away, she fades away, so give her your helping hand. She’s close to the end, little clown, so save your beloved Ragdoll. Stop hiding behind the mask and give her your heart and hand.
He walks away, and she fades away, wishing for her love to come back. The Ragdoll is blind now, and only a clown can open her eyes, so show her what it is to love.
