Van stop cutting the onions when she say that, he turn to face her and she was there, lying on the table, her long golden hair spreaded through all of it, she was wearing just a small white boxer pajama and one of her long legs was pointing at the ceiling.
-Why do you ask? - Vaan answered getting close to her…
-Then you don't? -she asked again, her eyes closed…

-We are like… twelve people in this house… you know? - She started again without open her eyes…

Vaan get even closer to her, for to him, she was acting really strange…

She lowered her leg and open her eyes to look at Vaan directly…

-I'm sorry, what? - Vaan said, fazed…
-Can’t hear? - She murmured smiling…
- You’re really soft, I mean!! Mim …- his voice was nervous- you should not hug a poor boy like this…-

-Vaan, hear me….I know something…something no one of us was supposed to know…-
-What is it? - Vaan asked

-Promise!!- She urged, the sound of a car resonating in the distance…
-I promise…-Vaan said finally…

-And… and hear me well…- she got even closer, like she wanted to melt whith him- Don't trust your elders…

-Don't- she whispered again…- don't trust your elders, any of them…-

-I can’t say it…… but promise you won’t tell… even to my mother…especially to my mother…
-Mimi…- Vaan said worried…
-I love you… remember that…-She said and kiss him in the cheek…
And then she left… just before Annie and Paim entered the house with all kind of bags from the weekend shopping, normally, Vaan would have helped Annie, but this time he offered to make dinner for them…
-You should have come- Annie said smiling, her face was red and her clothes had snow in them…- it was fun…-
-Next time- Vaan smiled and continue with his work...
-Anything interesting? - Paim asked...
-I peeled onions- Smiled Vaan..
