Moonlight Lady
How do I begin? I've asked myself that many times
Putting into words the feelings in my heart.
As you've probably guessed all this is a bunch of rhymes.
No one is perfect and I was never good at this.
But I try for you, for someone I care
Time passes us by but this is something I do not want to miss.
Separated by waters, thousands of miles away
We must stay strong for it is a test
A test of our love and loyalty each and every day.
A smile comes upon my face whenever I see you
Always there, telling me: I love you
Hearing those words in my mind, I know they are true
Saving me from my sorrow
You pick me up and gather the pieces of my heart
You are my angel with your golden halo
Wishing you were here, wishing you were near
Feeling your soft skin
Whispering sweet words in your ear.
Bright, shinning and pale as the moon
This is what I see when I look upon your face
You must think I'm such a loon.
Holding you in a soft embrace, our hearts on fire
Your hair a burning inferno and shining bright red
Having you in my arms, something I truly desire.
Pulling away I look into your eyes.
Eyes full of life and mystery
A sign that you are very wise
Knowing this is a dream I begin to feel blue
Feeling alone, alone in the dark
But I know that some dreams do come true
This dream we will make a reality together
Love always finds a way and the same will be for us both
I only hope it will happen much sooner rather than later
Awaiting the day to feel your soft warmth and embrace
Seeing you under the moonlight
The light reflecting from your lovely smiling face
You are my one and only
The person I love and care for
The one I want to hold in my arms: My lady.
I appreciate and love you. Being able to talk to you weekly
Day after day I wonder and wait when your next visit will be
