When Is A Raven Like A Writing Desk?
Hmmm...... tis a good question I suppose. Not that I don't already know many answers to such a riddle as this, but I figured it would be amusing to use it as a blurb of introduction to this little scarp of Xellana thought. Well that and I my Special Edition Alice In Wonderland book came in the mail today and since then, I have been very giddy. AIW has always been the peaches and cream of children's literature... followed closely by Harry Potter of course.

I've been reading some wonderful fanfics of Alice though they're somewhat twisted, but then again so am I? The fic in question isn't complete mind you, so I'm rather anticipating the next small but interesting chapter of it.

Other then that, not much to say about the times at the moment, though it would seem this semester of school is coming to an end, and with it, a lot have final projects have sprouted. Le sigh.

It seems that I must depart for now, so I shall leave you with a few interesting links and a fond farewell.

Merry Meet, and merry part, and merry meet again.

When Is A Raven Like A Writing Desk? To anwser this riddle, I will be forced to use many a technique to relate the Corvus to the dark-stained (and sometimes bloodstained) oakwood table. In my pocket-of-tricks, (note that it's not trick's pocket since that would be wrong, nor a bag-o-tricks since Felix the Cat would sue me), I contain many a information realting between the two creatures of flight. For starters, this card will show that there are many other people who agree on the topic. Indeed a raven can be seen as a writing desk, much like how that same desk can be seen as to sprout wings and take to the skys as if it was in need to escape from a horrible writer. (on that note, this would be the fifth time I've had to clip my desk's wings as typing this message out.) Much like their couterpart, Ravens have a varied diet. They will eat anything edible, including insects, berries, fruit, other birds' eggs, carrion, and the garbage from human homes. They also kill small birds and mammals, including young rabbits and rats. Comepare to a writing desk with is normally made from an Oak tree, a tree itself will tend to house the people, birds, animals, berries, insects, fruits, and will also most likely kill small birds and mammals when they fall with a hearty thump onto the forrest floor. What about the other way around though? Natives of north-western North America consider Raven the Creator of the World, much like how the mightly Oaks are have thought to have stood between the begining and the predicted end of the worlds. On the subject of worlds, both are thought to be the bringer of worlds, the hole in an oak tree can be the same home for the raven who takes their prey to the next world of existance. (or non-existance, your choice.) Quite an amazing creation both are. One might say that they they are both prove the non-existance of God, for they are so original and they can only be created by some higher power. But to have religious zeal is to have faith on something that cannot be proven. Thus proving that a God exists proves that in fact that it doesn't exist!
