The Life and Times of Grave Heat
Serious and nonsensical s**t all together in one place.
Writer's Rehab #1: GIMP Boredom
So yea, this is the first one in my series, and I struggled to come up with the title. I just got done doing the polymetrics part of P90X, (Day 2, Week 1) and I have no clue in hell why I didn't write about that, but oh well, here it goes.

So, I do banners and stuff on GIMP. I started out in like August, which was pretty cool. I did one banner, then got whisked away for a job, which didn't exactly last long, I didn't cause it if you're thinking that. Well, I came back in early October and started up again, which was pretty fun. I ended up doing some really cool stuff, which I really enjoyed. However I learned of this quote recently from a friend, "There will always be someone better out there."

Ok, first off, I HATE that quote. So naturally, that damn quote was right, as I found someone better than me on HJU. In an effort to become better, if not the best, I decided to follow up on some of the tutorials that he used. Well, come to find out, I'm better off watching someone do a tutorial than reading it. Hey, it's not my fault, there are plenty of people out there like me who have to see stuff in order to do it.

So because of that guy, I'm pretty much at a standstill for doing stuff on GIMP. Come to think of it, I really should change the title from GIMP Boredom to GIMP Lock Down, or Uninspired. Oh well, won't bother with fixing it, the point of these is to keep going until I've got some sort of point down.

Come to think of it, that's pretty much it. Cool. Alright, not going to do another one tonight because I'm tired from P90X, again I don't know why I didn't talk about that instead.

OP's are great for writers block. My englsh teacher designed them, they're called Occassiona Papers. Basically you reflect on something youve seen or thought of. the idea is to observe something as simple as a woman crossing the street or a flower growing to invoke the thought process. it works great.
