New Moon
So a friend and I saw New Moon in the theaters on the first of December. Since then I've been pondering a couple of things.
If you have NOT seen New Moon and do NOT want any spoilers then stop reading NOW

TURN BACK NOW!!!

Ok you've been warned!!!

So vampires like blood right? We all know that. And Bella "smells" really really good to them. Even just a drop is enough to send one into a feeding frenzy. My question is what happens when Bella has her period? How does Edward deal with "That Time of the Month"? *snickers*
Next point is the treaty the Cullen's have with the Native Werewolves. I assume it's only the Cullens since we haven't encountered any other vegetarian vampires. Now the treaty states that so long as the they(the vampires, specifically the Cullens) don't drink human blood, aka bite a human, they are safe from wolf predation. There is even a scene where Bella is talking to wolf boy and Edward, saying she wants to be turned by Ed. Wolfboy responds telling Ed if he bites her that the treaty is broken. So correct me if I'm wrong... But did not Edward bite Bella in the first movie to "save" her? How does that not count?
Finally, it seems to me at the end of the movie she is a most wanted girl. Would it not be better to have both boys protecting her? Why settle for just one? I feel she should have taken both and she'd never have to fear attacks. She even admits she loves them both in the movie!
That is all I have to say on the matter now. My apologies if this has spoiled the movie for you, but I WARNED YOU DAMNIT!

D

EDIT (12/14/09) I had to redo this comment because all the code involved cut off the end on the final point, so I am posting my answer to each of your questions/comments in their own posts. I am not quite done with New Moon, and I found something (an edit listed below) that kind of answered one of your questions. You'll see it when you get to it. That, and I didn't really like that rainbow. It was too hard to read. So, I opted to use a slightly darker color scheme for the edits I made.

A- I have actually wondered that, myself. Jasper is also a much newer member of the Cullen family, and therefore hasn't been a 'vegetarian' for very long.

A- What Jacob doesn't know won't hurt anyone. However, if you've read that books, which I am currently, you'll learn in both the first book (Twilight) and the second book (New Moon) that there are other 'vegetarian' vampire covens out there, just not many. Before the Cullens came back to Forks from Alaska, they were living in Denali, with another 'vegetarian' group.
EDIT (12/14/09) In Book 2 of the Twilight Saga (New Moon), on page 347, near the bottom - Bella and Jacob are sitting in Jacob's car, and she tells him that Edward has bitten her in the past. However, she explains that he only did it to save her life because James had already bitten her in Book 1 (Twilight), and Edward was merely sucking the vampire venom from her body. This is something I think should have been mentioned in the second movie. In addition, the scar from the bite seems to be on her hand (and is cold to the touch), rather than her wrist, as in the movies.

A- Think about the stress caused by having both a vampire boyfriend and a werewolf boyfriend. They're more than just ancient rivals. Also, it's not just in the movie that she seems to be 'the mot wanted girl.' I already know what is going to happen in all the books, as I have looked up everything having to do with the series a while back. Something happens with Jacob that will blow your mind! But, not before someone does something to someone else because that thing that happened at the place with the stuff. Afterwards, this other thing happens, and then everything is good. Or bad. Whichever. You know what I'm talking about.
And, there's a new series coming out in the Twilight universe, calling "Midnight Sun". It's basically "Twilight, but told from Edward's point of view.
