Again, please read part ONE and TWO first
The next morning, people were all supposed to meet in the lobby by 6:30 am. The girls in my room and I were the first down, and had a good period of time that we were down alone before people joined us. Not to mention that by time that the first guys were making their way down, the girls had all been down and ready for awhile. We were loading on the buses at about 6:50-7:00am (guys were, at this point, still just dragging their lazy butts outta the hotel rooms) and drove off to our first stop at Arlington Cemetary (I think. It was a week ago now, so not much is fresh in my mind now. And my schedule just happened to disappear.)
Arlington Demetary was amazing. I don't recall anything really interesting happening to me, though. I got to ride a trolly with Jeramy, but thats it.
Basically, we went around the graves, looked at the eternal flame and spacific graves, and thenrode a trolly to the tomb of the unknown soldier. At the tomb of the unknown soldier, we watched the changing of the guard ceremony and the changing of the reef ceremony (? I don't know if that's the real name or not X3). Four kids from our school got to help in that.
I was fanning myself when we were watching and were supposed to have our hand on our hearts, but it was HOT and I was NOT the only person who was preoccupied trying not to fry in the sun. Well, that was all fine and dandy with everyone BUT Jeramy. Who saw that I was fanning myself and went ahead to nudge me and motion for me to put my hand on my heart. My only response was rolling my eyes, putting my hand on my heart for two seconds and then going back to fanning myself, and he can deal with it X3 rofl.
After that, we rode this 'around town' trollies to go see afew monuements.
We saw the Lincoln Monument and the Jefferson Monument, both of which have many stairs.
At the Lincoln Monument, Meghan and I spent the first bit of time looking at ducks in the reflection pool, then proceeded to go up the millions of stairs to look at the monument. I got an amazing picture of it on my phone, and she got a collectors button for the Lincoln Monument (that I bought her).
Stephanie and I had gotten to the main floor of the Jefferson monument, and in the shade, leaning againsnt one of the coloums, we both discussed how we hated stairs and that if this trip doesnt make a person skinny, nothing will. (That'd be true if not for the fact it was only 3 days..)
Meghan, who had originally came with us, was way up near the statue of Jefferson, still full of energy and fine. Goi figure, she's a stick with the energy of a battery on crack X3 of course she can climb stairs and not think twice.
I was the average between her peppy condition and stephanie's practically dead with thirst condition.
She was really dehydrated, and I offered to buy her a drink at the drink stand but she refused and said she'd be okay. She did end up being okay, because I gave her the rest of my gatorade on the ride to lunch.
(While checking out monuments, I ran into Jeramy twice, but nothing but a quick "hi" went on.)
After that, we rode to lunch, being shown alot of the other hot spots in Washington we didn't get to visit or already saw.
Lunch was average (atleast I think it was lunch. It coulda been dinner for all I know). I GOT SUM COOKIES biggrin biggrin biggrin and Meghan and I spent in walking around.
We had planned to stay with Stephanie, but she wanted to eat at a different place then us so we decided on this meeting place.
Meghan had originally done so to abandon her but I forced her to go back and look for her after we got our food, but luckily for her, she wasnt there. So we went to the BR (a much needed stop) and went back, again, she wasnt there. Meghan took this as her opportunity to just abandon looking for her so we went off to the top floor (2 floors away from the meeting place) and she started devising plans to stay away from Stephanie.
Like, if I see her, go the other way.
If we come face to face, RUN. etc..
At some point, Stephanie saw us from the floor below. Meghan grabbed my arm and started running, yelling to me "RUN! RUN!" And me, going my average pace, shouting back "This is my full speed!"
She caught us eventually (could it be my fault? :O I was going my full speed! X3)
I ended up having to go to the bathroom before we left, and they were about to leave by the time we got back X3 rofl
Then we went to the holocaust memorial. That was a very anticipated stop for almost everyone on the trip.
I spent it with Meghan. Her and I ran threwout the place either way behind or way ahead of the group. We later heard that everyone was supposed to stay in the main tour group but as it turns out, no one really did. Nothing all that interesting happened. Meghan and I ran into the gay club + Jeramy like 5 times seperately.
Haha, we later went down to find that like 20 kids from our school had gotten in trouble for not being with a chaperone or talking, which made Meghan and I laugh because we were both alone and talking the whole time X3
The really amusing part was that some kids that you wouldn't expect to get introuble (including Jeramy) did.
Lastly, Meghan broke up with Jacob again.
Off to the other memorials.
Now, we were going to the World War II Memorial and the Korean Veterans Memorial (IDK if that was what it was, Meghan and I didn't listen..).
The WW2 Memorial was Beautiful. There were the fountains, and it was sunset <333 it was so pretty. Like, only seen in a dream, in was magestifying. Meghan and I sat in socks by the water for alittle bit just hanging out, it was probably the most relaxing time on the trip..
The funniest thing that happened then was when we were walking up towards the Korean War Veterans Memorial (i think) Mr. Marek played a prank on all of the kids that got in trouble at the holocaust memorial.
He stops and he's like,
"Okay kids. 20 of you got in trouble at the holocaust. We are going up to the Korean War Veterans Memorial; if you run up there and get there before the rest of us.. I wont have to suspend you when we get back! GO!"
I think they misscounted the amount of kids that got introuble cuz like 30-something took off running. Mr. Marek and the other chaperones ROFL-ed like no tomorrow. Everyone eventually figured out that it was a joke and came back.
My favorite excuse for not falling for it was;
"I didn't fall for it! I was just chasing a butterfly!" -Christian

After that, I quickly found that I, accompanied by Meghan, Jacob, and our guide, was walking way out infront of the rest of the group towards the Korean War Veterans Memorial, which ended up being really boring.
Jacob and I kept bothering Meghan. There were these little stones with slanted sides and we kept putting our feet on them.
She was like "HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF PEOPLE PUT THEIR FEET ON YOUR GRAVE?!"
Jacob did it again and she's like "You know what Jacob? I'm gonna pee on your grave when you die!"
Soon after, Jeramy joined us rofl. We royally pissed her off but it was worth it.
Our next stop was the Mall for some dinner and shopping.
The mall was interesting.
Meghan and I were again deciding to stick together.
Haha, we ended up getting some Chicken Teriyaki, which neither of us had had before but we tried a sample and the sample was amazing.
And Meghan kept spazzing out about it,
like "I NEVER GET STUFF I SAMPLE! BUT IT WAS JUST SO GOOD. AND DANIELLE YOU WERE LIKE 'I WOULDN'T MIND EATING THIS'".
I rarely try new food, but it was just really good. And I'll admit, when she asked me if I liked it, I smiled and said "I wouldn't mind eating this!"
So we went to sit down, and I was about to talk to her about Jeramy (I forget about what) and he walks up so we're like "heyyy!" and he joins us for dinner.
Meghan's explaining the chicken teriyaki situation when Nathan Vanmeter (part of the Gay Club) sits next to Jeramy. Then Nick (BIG part of the gay club) sits next to him. Then David too.
They all started talking about gay club stuff and I leaned back with Meghan and said "Meghan, I have a new problem with Jeramy."
She looks at my half curious, half worried, and says "What?"
I say "HE'S A FRUIT MAGNET!" Loud enough for her to get the fact it was emphasized, quiet enough to keep from the guys hearing.
Meghan almost started lol-ing when she realized that the guys shouldn't know.
Meghan and I began walking around the mall shortly after, we stopped in stores I wanted to stay out of but whatever.
At some point, she saw something for the both of us she DEARLY wanted, but I was $4-$5 short.
So, she first goes and asks a teacher, then the VP Mr. Marek, then Jacob, and at some point, she yelled at Jeramy from 2 floors away to wait where he was and then dragged me all the way down just to find out he didn't have money either X3.
By that time, we had to go to the BR (me because of monthly problems) and we were both sweaty and hot. And, Mrs. Ellis was being VERY unhelpful, yelling at Meghan and I and whatnot.
Well, we had to deal with it, which royally pissed us both off.
The teachers decided that instead of just hopping on the buses and heading home now, we'd ride the subway to the buses. The sad thing is; none of us really have any experience with Subways because we don't live near any *shrugs*.
So, it was new to us.
As they were filing all of us out of the mall, I found Jeramy and Stephanie and began walking with them.
I told Jeramy about me being upset while we were leaving, but he quickly lost interest and started ahead looking for Nick and Nathan. When he does this, I have my classic goodbye, "WELL BYE THEN!"
For the first time, he actually heard and turned around and said "What?"
And I'm like, "It's nothing. Just go on and look for the gay club or whatever. I'll find Meghan." So I stay back abit and walk with Stephanie for a few seconds before Jeramy quickly finds me, takes my hand and says "I'd rather walk with you. smile " (awww) (makes me wonder if he did it just because I said 'just go find the gay club' or not)
He ended up sticking with me too.
We were walking in the subway, I was infront and on the outer side of him when he puts his arm around my side to kind of nudge me inward.
I'm thinking this is the CUTEST thing in the world, and it woulda stayed that way if it weren't for one of the Gaywads (either Nick or Nathan) shouting sarcastically "AWW! JERAMY HAS TO PROTECT HIS GIRLFRIEND!" (grr) which makes us both embarassed.
But he was still next to me.
Meghan ended up finding me, on the verge of tears. She couldn't talk she was so upset, and I was trying to make her feel better.
(Jeramy didn't help by turning and saying something that made her almost punch him in his face stressed )
Eventually she explained to me that Annie was screaming at her for walking in a pathway, even though it was a pathway everyone else was using too, and then Mrs. Ellis stuck her big nose in it and screamed at her to do so too.
The rest of the subway ride she was telling me about how she's at a mental breaking point and this will scar her.
Her and I got seperated for aminute when we got off the subway and I walked with Jeramy to the buses. They seperated the girls and guys bus, Jeramy kissed me and left to the guys group, and Meghan refound me.
So, our very last stop in Washington D.C. was the United States Memorial, at which Meghan was still really upset. They were taking group photos of the huge whole Franklin group and Meghan and I stayed at the very back, looking at Washington D.C. I think it did her some good to just look out at it, it was evening so there was a cooling breeze and after alittle sleep on the bus after leaving, she was back in action.
The bus ride was normal, for the first part, we were watching a movie or something and Taylor and Candice were messing with Meghan (and partly me) in a good way and it made Meghan alot happier. She fell asleep until the first stop, everyone got out, did what they had to, then went back on the buses and we left again.
This time, the amount of time that everyone spent messing around was alot smaller. Everyone ended up going to sleep quickly.
Now, everyone was reallly tired so no girls from our bus got off on either of the last two stops.
The only thing any of us really got up for was to call and tell people we were gonna be like 1 and a half hours early and we needed a ride home then.
We arrived at Franklin. The chaperones looked over our areas before we could go, and ours was clean other than a single gummy worm left from the food war which I found and picked up before the teachers saw.
Slowly we all exited, and I was greeted by Sammi and Grandma (who I'd be at the house of until Sunday. It was Saturday now.) I also got to see Jeramy's mom, who came up asking how it was and if I was tired (obvious quesiton).
Jeramy came off the boys 2nd to last, with the colar of his jacket up just like he does in school (which makes him look reallly cute, and kinda eskamo-ish :3) only he looked dead tired. He walked over to get his stuff, I hugged him, and we all (grandma sammi and hi, him and his parents) all walked off into the parkinglot. Grandma was introducing herself and whatnot, and I stood shivering and freezing my butt off. Being so used to Washington's forever summer weather, Michigan was like Antarctica and Jeramy's looking like an Eskamo looked perfect for this weather 3nodding
That's the whole trip.
And let me tell you, after grandma took Sam and I to breakfest, at which I couldn't stop talking to save my life and I was eating fries and cheezesticks because I didn't eat much over the trip, and took us home, I slepted from like 6am-5pm, got up for afew hours to shop for mother's day, then went back to sleep.
I was soo tired, but as soon as your home from Washington, you'll want to go back. The sights, the weather, it's amazing, and it was even better because I had my BFF's and Jeramy <333
