A Wolf and a Sparrow
Simple notes sang so softly, One of a loner, and one of a dreamer. One with a solitary melody, yet the other blessed With a imprisoned harmony. Yet can they hear each other speak?
Cold winter days contrast against Sunlit windows… These intertwining dreams… With our heartbeats play in the distant background… Two worlds apart are we…yet so close, but we cannot see, Not by the color of our watchful eye… The story behind what our shadows seek…
Deep green those eyes…symbolization of a forest so far away Yet not the environment you claim home. Snowy planes stretch as far as the eye can see. A scene so pure, yet compares not to thy majestic beauty. Monochrome fur caressed by an Artic breeze, as alone I can hear you sing your solo melody. To the moon, to the sky, like a prayer you howl… Yet I wonder, what song you sang… For I can hear it play in my head…in slumber as I lay. Oh sing. Sing to me your sweet melody, my wolf of the Artic scene.
In time thou past... Warm rays of a summer sun, Rain through an untouched windowpane Exposes one whose freedom is bound and chained. Stolen breezes, touch thy gentle feathers As I quietly sing that of a soft-hearted harmony. Color tainted wings beat in hastened pace Symbolize my deepened rhythm Like that of a poisoned heart infected by your presence. If only, If only you could hear me whisper my lyrics so silently. My song, for you alone, I still continuously sing… For I’m to be your sparrow in daylights keep.
Between the distance of absence… Let the wind whisper memories of such harmonic adoration, While nature’s chorus tenderly sings. Let those of the faithless, in tears may they weep, As two diverse destinies meet in slumbers shadowy daydream. A story told, but not spoken, A love envisioned, but not yet seen, A passion so deep, only fate did create. Like wildfire will this song be spread, Across waters, and lands of distances unknown Soon they will cry out in song, of this wolf and his beloved sparrow.
