Ok, life is starting to look a bit better now, well better then it used to anyways, but I won't get into that. Unfortunately, it's been snowing lately-this one dislikes snow a lot-. xp I've gotten a lot more done on my stories-I still need to edit them sweatdrop - but for now this is all I'm going to post enjoy whee :
"She's still maturing, Argon. Give her time. The sooner we teach her, the better." Tired of all this nonsense, the girl spoke up. "One of you mind telling me what the heck is going on?!" A bit perplexed by the young girl's tone, Argon spoke. "You see, child-" "My name is Astatos, and that's how you'll address me," she corrected. "Oh, of course I will. Astatos? That's an interesting name, Greek I believe. Doesn't it mean-" He stalled then began again, "Well never mind that, you see Ania, ha-has this idea that you may be a-" He stumbled and stuttered upon his words. "Don't hurt yourself here, Argon. I'll explain," Ania sighed then continued off his words, "Pay no attention to him, He's an old gas bag who needs to die anyways," Ania teased, but became rather serious now, "Listen to me carefully. That little scar on the side of your neck," Her hand reached for her hair once more, but Astatos slapped her hand lightly, causing her to retreat, "well it's a sign of something wonderful to happen," a grand emphasis in her words. "What do you mean, 'something wonderful'?" Astatos wondered aloud. "Please, you sound like she's been blessed with the world's greatist gift." Argon scoffed. Ania quickly elbowed him in the stomach, shutting him up instantly. "You can answer that easily, Astatos, was it? Anyways, tell us what happened on the night you got that scar, if you please." Ania tried to coax the story out of her, but Astatos resisted. "My personal matters are no concern of yours," Astato protested. She didn't take to these two at all. They were strange and to her mind, somewhat insane. No matter, she could here the voices of others all around the outside walls of the room that she was in. "You don't have to say another word, but I advise you stay here at least the night. The world can be harsh at times, and it's best you stay so we can finish telling you all, but for now I'll show you to your room. You can get to know everyone else in the morning." Ania spoke with compassion, getting up and leading Astatos to her room. Walking up the large stair case, Astatos began to notice something different about herself.
And that's the end of the first chapter. Not much I know, but heck, I tend to beat around the bush when it comes to introductions
