Here I hide,
Wanting to cry,
Wishing for silence,
Waiting for patience.

I know you're there,
Waiting with that small flare,
I want to be alone,
Free from being prone.

There are many who seek my sight,
Bathing in their newfound light,
Having said what need be said,
Letting go all of that lead.

When I feel you near,
I am free of fear,
Though I know we'll never meet,
I can't help thinking of all those sweets.

I know I wish it was so,
That I could just get up and go,
I could free my heart form harm,
And could jump into your arms.

I could flee the commotion,
Run to the ocean,
Meet you at the edge,
And hold your hand with an unbreakable pledge.

One person finds a hole,
Fills a portion of my soul,
Then you break down to me,
Just like the waves in the sea.

I'd tell that one person that I have you,
But then what would happen to the truth?
Would my world fall apart,
Or would it fix my confused torn heart?

Would you still love me if I wanted more,
More than that flowing shore,
More than that old uncertainty,
To find somewhere with security?

I'm still lost in that endless falter,
And I'm afraid to fill that now empty crater,
That has been through so much glue and plaster.

It's unfixable.
