my other half is my best friend since you know that not many people in this world can be your R-E-A-L friends. I mean real as in the Sora, Riku, Kairi kind of friendship where one forgave the other for attempting to kill him and killed himself for his other friend when she lost her heart. THAT is a best friend. Also, look at Axel and Roxas. That's also a great friendship. It's weird to have yourself be your best friend, but hey, it works for me! Sure we'll fight, but as long as I don't lose it's perfectly fine.
