My Life


It has recently come to my attention that there are some people out there in RP world that think they are able to critique and put people down for the way that they RP. They make fun of others for the way they RP their characters stating that they don't do the character right or that their character wouldn't act or behave a certain way when they themselves don't portray their character correctly either. This in itself just burns my a raw to the point that even Preparation H doesn't even help. mad Let me give you an example. A friend of mine was recently bitched out and put down being told that she wasn't RPing her character correctly.. being told that she stinks as an RPer and that her character wouldn't act that way. Now this character happens to be Nora Alexander that was on one episode of House MD. Now mind you that no one really knows who Nora is or anything about her background. So her character, in my opinion, is a blank slate that can be molded how ever the person that is portraying her wants it to be. The person portraying this character get's a very nasty email telling her that she stinks as an RPer and that her character would NEVER act that way.. and so on and so on. Now everyone is entitled to their own opinion... If you think a person stinks at something then that's your prerogative and I won't hold it against you... But when you put someone down for basically doing the same damn thing you are doing as well... then that's a different story... This so-called critic happens to RP as Dr. Gregory House here on Gaia as well as on Facebook. Now this particular House character happens to be a Hilson fan... Which by the way, I have nothing against. But if you are going to portray House as a gay character and sleeping with Wilson, then I strongly feel that you have no right what so ever to tell someone that they aren't portraying their characters the way they would on the show. Am I wrong in thinking this way? I think not. I happen to play a House character myself on here, as you can see, and on Facebook as well.
