If you call yourself peaceful, why then do you fight with your enemies? Anyone already knows how to be peaceful with their own friends and to love those who love you. So what then does being peaceful mean?

It would then have to mean choosing a peaceful path in whatever situation you are in, especially towards those who do not know peace. The peaceful man then cannot say, “This man or that person deserves this or that, let us give him what he deserves!” But if one claims to be peaceful, the only thing a person should be given is peace.

Walk away from your enemies, curse them not, for he who curses will receive the same, and to him who hates will receive hatred in return. Hurt no one, lest they hurt you.

The Chinese say “The best fight is the one not fought at all.”

Whoever then can forgive even their enemies are stronger than their enemies.
Any fool can fight and hate or cause destruction, but hate is easy, while love and forgiveness takes true strength, but it is with delight. Love is a gift given to all, even the enemy, forgive them, fight not with them, show them true strength. But he who cannot even forgive his enemies has no strength in him.

Exercise then what is good and you will become proficient at it. For every painter who loves painting is awesome at it. He makes no mistakes and even if he does they are very small and easily correctly with much skill indeed.

One who loves painting will paint a grand picture and he will be great at it. But
whoever does not love painting will not exercise it, and he will not be very good, and many mistakes are made, and he gives up. Furthermore there is no awesome painter who has not worked for his skill at it.

Whoever then wishes to forgive with ease will practice it, for whatever you love practicing you become good at. And whoever does not practice forgiveness is already practicing hate, and whoever does not practice peace has already been practicing destruction. Where ever discipline one lacks, there also he lacks courage.
