I signed up to Gaia because I thought it would be a good outlet for my writing. I'm not good at drawing in any way, and I'm too shy to get together a film crew. Even then, if speaking was easy for me, I wouldn't be a writer, so acting's out of the question too.
I recently studied young adult fiction at Exeter College, up in Oxford, England. I came away knowing more about what my friends dubbed 'New Adult' fiction - fiction for people who are coming out of their teens - than YA. So there you go. Two genres for the price of one.
So since there are plenty of people on Gaia who are teens, I thought it'd be great to write some young/new adult fiction. It would be easy to publish things on Gaia, because it would be accessible for anyone interested in what I've got cooking. Usually I have to keep sending out contact information and stuff to my friends and family. Anyway, I was thinking about writing about my time in England, and turning it into some kind of series of short stories. Nothing auto-biographical because I hate non-fiction.
I was thinking about an apocalypse in England. I was balling around the idea of writing something dystopian, but really, we have enough of those stories out there. No more details, because I'm still writing. 3nodding
Anyway, that's that. See you guys... when I do.
