she walks down an alley all alone
not a pager or a cellphone
but all is never what it seems
they hide in the dark
under your bed
but monsters are only in your head
can you hear me
follow my voice to the light
make the right choice
before we all lose hope tonight

when they come will you run

darkness consumes our souls
make the wrong choice and watch the heads roll

the sun brings light and hope
what is it about darkness that scares us
dillusional thoughts
why dont we find these monsters in the light
are we scared to stand our ground
scared to pick a fight
the monsters are only in your head
day is yellow
dawn is red
yet the black of night seems to shock us all
why not the day
