This is something one of my best friends in the whole world wrote me when I moved to North Carolina. Just so you know, I am a hypochondriac. That means I think I'm hurt evn if I don't have anything wrong with me. Here's the dictionary definition: Hypochondria- The persistent conviction that one is or is likely to become ill, often involving symptoms when illness is neither present nor likely, and persisting despite reassurance and medical evidence to the contrary.
Here's what she wrote:

When I got home today I realized something. You're gone! Even
though we can still communicate I can't see you in person.
I seriously miss you! Nothing in this letter means I'm obessed
with you or anything so don't think that I'm spying on you.
I just think you're a great friend and it is a shame that your gone.
You asked me the other day why would I want to be friends with
a person who thinks they are seriously hurt when they are not.
My answer is, there are many reasons why. Everyone has their ups
and downs but thats what makes us who we are. And Summer, I
think your great just the way you are. You livin' up a party
and your fun to be around. Summer, never change, please.
If you read that chain letter you sent me that said at least
two people in the world love you. It's true, beacuse I am one
of them. I love you as a friend who will risk my life for yours.
Your the kind of friend who I'll put in my scrapbook then pick
it up ten years later and without a picture, remember your shining face.
I wrote this when I got home the day you left. Jan 20, 2006.
It didn't take me long to write it because I knew just what to say.
The same way I felt...That's how I feel about you Summer.
So, whenever you think the world hates you, don't hesitate to look
back at this message and know that at least one person loves you...
