The Child's Heart
A luminary stands upon the hill
And hums, calling to the
Ethereal twilight.
The tune
Charms the mind
And sways its notes,
Sliding down
the throat-
Slithers into heart.
Violet kisses
Blossom,
Skin trembles,
The night sky
shivers in a slowly
rising and falling
chest.
Celestial lights
Shine from behind
Flesh
Ghostly indigo lethargically
Crawls into veins-
Features of the face brighten.
lids flicker
Revealing
Seraphic orchid eyes.
traces of moon blood
speckle
Deeply pomegranate
Lips,
hot breath
floats on
Biting breeze.
Gypsy skirts
Whirl,
The patterns spin
Like wheels
Suspended by darkness.
All has been absorbed within
and shines from the fingertips
as rays of sunlight.
inside this moment
spiders weave webs
of translucent chiffon
and their golden tears cling
to the threads...
Embrace,
Absorb
The starry night.

Does poetry engulf your heart like it does mine? If is doesn't, then you are lost within the world and within youself. I might be lost to the world, but I manage to cling on to myself.
