Ok, I know this sounds dumb, but hey, it has to be said by some one. Why dont we pay more attention to those who cant speak? Yes, I am talking about our furry, feathered, slimy, scaled friends. People dont always realize, "Hey, ya know we could do something about animal cruelty, or animal testing.", or else they say, "People need our help morre than animals". In my opinion, they are wrong. The human race always brags about how smart we are, and how advanced we are, so why dont we show it? Any one of the streets can find a job, but alot of times they dont try. Meanwhile, animals usually cant do anything about being abandoned or abused, because alot of them are too naive, and too trusting. But evenly, any animal will crack, and either run away and become feral, or will lunge at or attack its owner, getting themselves beaten to death. And you all say, "Well why not go to the SPCA?". Well i fact the SPCA, does not have enough money to take care of all those abondoned or abused pets? And for those of you who think, "Well it's not that bad!", here are some cases of animal cruelty for you to read:

~FERNLEY, Nev. Animal cruelty charges have been dismissed against a Fernley animal control officer charged with freezing a live muskrat.
~In what has been described as "an appalling case" of animal neglect, the German shepherd Tara was crippled with pain from two serious injuries. Peterborough Magistrates' Court heard how owner Christopher Maughan failed to take the dog to the vets for three years – and she was so ill that treatment couldn't save her. She had to be put to sleep because digestion problems left her painfully thin, while another condition left her with open wounds across the back of her body.
~A Kent City woman has been sentenced after numerous dogs were found outside her home in the middle of winter without food, water, and very little shelter.
~“The dead dog was suffering from malnourishment first of all and severe parasitism and fleas which causes severe anemia also a case of hook worms which also caused anemia.”
~A nine-year-old boy is accused in a shocking case of animal abuse, but a neighbor is coming to his defense. He is accused of beating and torturing a kitten so badly that it had to be put to sleep. Now, that boy may face felony charges. Dr. Roque Gonzalez with Animal Control says this is the worst case of animal abuse he's seen because of the internal damage. Most cases he sees are animals with external injuries only. He says the kitten had fractured ribs, which could the puncture lungs. That was just the beginning of a huge list of internal injuries that killed the young white cat early Saturday morning.
~and those are only a few examples... I myself have witnessed a group of teens, stick a fire cracker up a cat's a**, and the cat screamed horribly and proceede to run in frantic circles so I couldnt catch it, until the firecracker exploded, leaving the cats whole lower end in peices on the lawn... and the worst thing is, when the initial explosion didnt kill the cat, the boys rode of on their bikes, draging the cat behind them on a piece of string....

~Animals are routinely cut open, poisoned, and forced to live in barren steel cages for years, although studies show that because of vast physiological variations between species, human reactions to illnesses and drugs are completely different from those of other animals. Today's non-animal research methods are humane, more accurate, less expensive, and less time-consuming than animal experiments, yet change comes slowly and many researchers are unwilling to switch to superior technological advances. Animal experimentation not only is preventing us from learning more relevant information, it continues to harm and kill animals and people every year.
~Small animals, like hamsters, rats and mice, are usually kept in clear or white plastic boxes about the size of a shoebox. Animals a bit bigger, such as guinea pigs, live in larger boxes about twice the size of a shoebox. Usually, more than one animal lives in a box. Wood chips or something similar covers the cage bottoms. Cage tops are covered by a wire lid with food and water hanging down for the animals to reach. Larger animals like dogs, cats, and primates usually live in wire cages. Social primates like monkeys often live with other monkeys, but most other large animals usually live alone. Often, primates get to spend some time every day in a larger cage where they can play. Most other animals stay in their cages all the time except when they are being used in experiments.
~The IAMS Company have funded and participated in laboratory experiments on hundreds of animals that caused kidney failure, obesity, malnutrition, liver damage, severe allergic reactions, stomach inflammation, diarrhoea, severe skin disorders, lesions, skin wounds and other painful illnesses, and animals have been kept in barren dungeon-like conditions. Dogs have been force-fed vegetable oil, had chunks of muscle removed from their thighs, and been 'de-barked' by having their voice-boxes cut out in a painful and bloody procedure.
