“No!!” Tsano shouted, recognizing the mansion, pulling harder than ever. “You’re not taking me back there!” Tao Chi stared at him as he struggled. “Oh, come, now!” Said the man. “Be reasonable!” He stared around at his companion. “Help me with him!” Reluctantly, the man stretched out his other hand that wasn’t gripping Tao Chi, and took hold of Tsano’s other arm. Tsano thought about grabbing his sword, but he realized the man gripping him had both his sword and dagger strapped across his own waist. “No!” Tsano shouted again. He lit his hands with white magic, attempting to burn the hands of the man. He seemed to suspect this and he released Tsano’s arm, kicking him in the small of the back into the snow. He tied his hands together behind his back with apparently imperturbable ropes. “Stop it!” Tao Chi shouted, trying to pull away now as Tsano got up with difficulty, his hands fixed behind his back. “Leave us alone, Tsano’s been cleared of all charges! It’s against the law to kidnap him like this!” There was a click. Tao Chi went quiet as she saw the man beside Tsano loading a gun. Tsano looked behind him, looking up at the man, the color disappearing from his cheeks. Then he smiled. “You can’t shoot me.” He said. “Your boss would fire you, and you’d go to jail for murder. You…you’re not serious, I know it.” “If I don’t bring you back, I’ll be fired and I’ll go to jail for kidnapping.” He said. “Either way, same scenario.” The gun’s muzzle was pressed into Tsano’s back. He was serious. Tao Chi composed herself and she started struggling again. “Tao, don’t.” Tsano said, not looking at her, his eyes staring in front of him. The gun was cold and threatening against his back. “Let’s come quietly.” Tao Chi looked disappointed, but she obeyed.
They neared the mansion in no time and entered, walking down several desolate marble hallways and corridors until they reached a large room with red carpets and statues. This place looked like Uri’s mansion. Was Olivand royalty, too? Olivand was sitting in a large chair (He was pretty large himself), Deliah sitting beside him, playing with a few dolls. Olivand made a disgusted face as the two men bowed to him and pushed Tsano and Tao Chi forward. “What is that thing?” Olivand asked. “It’s…the Angel, sir.” Said one of the men. “Are you sure?” He asked. “It doesn’t even look like my Angel.” Tsano stared angrily at the floor. His Angel? “We’re positive, sir.” Olivand picked up a newspaper that was beside him and looked at it, comparing the face of the picture on the front page and the face before him. He set the paper down. “It doesn’t look nearly as beautiful as it does when it’s an Angel.” Tsano stared up furiously at Olivand. “Stop calling me ‘it’!” He demanded, then swore at Olivand. “I’m a person, even if I’m not a human!” “Don’t you dare talk to him like that!” Hissed the man beside him into his ear. But Olivand was smiling with delight. “That’s it!” He shouted. “That’s the face of my Angel, that anger is the same as it was that time ago.” “And I’m not your Angel!” Tsano shouted. “I don’t belong to anybody!” “Keep shouting!” Tsano stopped shouting. He felt weird being praised by a man like Olivand, especially if being angry was the cause of it. “Keep shouting!” Olivand ordered him again. Tsano frowned at him, not saying a word. Olivand sank back into his seat, looking disappointed. “Ah, well, there will be plenty of time for that later.” He sighed. Olivand looked at Tao Chi idly. “Who’s this?” He asked. Tao Chi looked startled at being looked in the face. “This was just someone we found with the Angel.” They said. “We didn’t want anyone to suspect that we took the Angel, so, we took her, too.” Olivand sighed again. “Well, it doesn’t matter much, I suppose.” He said. “At least the Angel will have a friend and be happy.” Tsano wanted to shout something like, “Quit talking like I can’t hear you!”, but he didn’t want Olivand to get too excited. “Take them to separate rooms.” Olivand said in a bored voice.
