Faking Insight on a Daily Basis
Read along and see if you can find the moments when what I have to say actually has some sense of rationale attached.
The Weekend News Update
Since we're nearing the end of this weekend, I guess I can go ahead and deliver the news of the days.

Friday night was my first outing with Rachel. We'd decided to meet in a coffee shop I've visited only once before, and that was when Hilda introduced me to it, called Agora. The place is decorated with a Greek theme in mind, but the occassional blasting of Peter Frampton from the juke box easily destroys what ambience the place creates. Since we were meeting there (the decision having been made simply to allow either of us the opportunity for a quick escape), I had plenty of time to relax before she arrived. Upon reflection, I could have taken more at least a half hour more time to tart myself up for the event and I would have still beaten her there. That simply comes from my living but some ten minutes away from the place.

So when she arrived, we worked past the brief, awkward silence quickly and settled into a very long conversation. We only stopped talking for a moment, and that was to get some food from a nearby restaurant. We totaled some six hours of time together, and it would have been longer, but Agora was closing because of the 2 o'clock hour.

We said our little good-nights and kissed before she left for home, which unfortunately is somewhere in Pearland. (For reference, I live in the Heights in Houston, some 45 minutes away) We agreed to speak the following day, and schedules permitting, meet again. We smooched again, and repeated our good-nights. I would have layed a kiss on her earlier, and there was a perfect moment to do so, but I pussed out.

And onto...

Saturday evening I met her at a Barnes and Noble in Webster (I told her it was only fair that I drive to her part of the world this time) and we strolled through the store for an hour or so. She sheepishly asked if I would think it weird if we went to her home and watched a movie. I assured her that I would enjoy meeting her roommates, and off we went. While viewing "Silent Hill" we became a little closer, and closer still as the movie ended. Although some chaos upended our relaxation, we resumed our time in peace once those causing the fuss had left her home. To spare the Cinemax details, let's just say that when I woke up this morning, I was in her bed, with her sleeping beside me.

And that's how my Sunday began.

As for the rest of today; I haven't done s**t.

The end
