My GOD. The drive to Petaluma is like a big, boring slice of Middle America. Cows, rolling hills, brushfires, callboxes. My parents and I were driving up at about four yesterday to go to my aunt's house for Hanukkah.
By the way, my family members don't know me at all. Standout bad gifts:
- ugly cell phone pouch
- a LABEL MAKER (wtf)
- books I own already
- a book I don't own - a trashy Victorian teen romance novel rolleyes
I should make an actual list to send out to my relatives...
Anyway, that wasn't what I made this entry for.
I think I saw a UFO or something. O:
We were driving, I was staring out the window. Anyhow, we're passing this one hill and I see a clump of...black things in the sky. And then another. And another. And another. And then one more on the other side of the hill. At first I thought they were birds, but they were flying waaaay too high and there were SO many of them it just couldn't be possible. They didn't really TRAVEL as the flew, but moved in a kind of rippling, pulsating way, staying in pretty much the same place the whole time. Two clumps combined to form one clump, and then we had driven so far I couldn't keep watching them. OF ALL THE TIMES I DON'T HAVE MY CAMERA! gonk

I went back to Tower Records ONE LAST TIME before it closes on the 21st. I got a Franz Ferdinand poster for all of two dollars, but it's really tightly-rolled and I had a hell of a time unrolling it. To flatten it out, it's now held tight to the floor with two platform shoes, a candle and a bottle of hair stuff I never use. I hope that will make it stay flat. sweatdrop
