walking down the sides of streets
staring at the ground so our eyes won't meet
we pass in front of the neighborhood market
think to ourselves that the other started it
the fiery passion that burned for that first night
and started the coming mornings fight
but after you passed i turned to stare
to find you eyes looking into mine, my emotions bared
i hate what's become of us
what attracted us? love, or lust?
i pray it's not the latter for you
for with me, the former is true
i tried to tell you in the past
but i feared that it wouldn't last
and as you stared into my eyes
i saw the truth, and all of my mistrust dies
your arms open for me to come
i don't care if its smart or dumb
all i want is to be yours
whether the trip is smooth or coarse
only time will tell if this love of mine will last
