A Kanish Journal
...and the duck when moo, moo, moo.
Kane's Trip to the Padded Room
Yeah, Kane's pretty depressed right now. His older brother just got checked in to the hospital, and will probably be there for a few weeks, or until they believe he is stable enough to go home.

Mind, nothing is physically wrong with this brother of Kane's, but he was determined a danger to himself and those around him, and is now in a facility with a padded room, seclusion area, plentiful amounts of children's videos such as Barney and Dora, and oh, I forgot something. No soda.

NO ******** SODA.

HOW THE ******** IS ANYONE GOING TO KILL THEMSELVES WITH A GODDAMN BOTTLE OF SODA?

That was Kane kerploding. He's better now, though. Anyways, while we were in the facility I saw a few other children. I don't get it. There were FIVE YEAR OLDS in there.

HOW THE ******** ARE FIVE YEAR OLDS SUICIDAL? THOSE PARENTS NEED TO BE ******** SHOT. heart

Actually, I was surprised to see no emo kids in there. Or, if there were, the nurses must have deemed the hair gel and eyeliner as a danger to others. I know a lot of my friends were close to going there when their parents found them cutting or the like.

Now then, at this time, I was unaware that the facility had a padded room. Oh man, my bro is going to have a blast in there. It's like on of those blo-up bouncy things we use to jump on as children at the carnivals and stuff. I asked if they had a padded room, jokingly, and the nurse looked at me with a very serious face and answered "Yes."

So, being the kid I am, I asked if I could see it. They said yes. I said I wanted to test it out to "make sure my brother can't hurt himself in there, you know?" So they let me in to the padded room and I bounce around for a while.

It was rather fun. xd

One of my dreams have been fufilled. heart

I know what you’re going through actually. My brother Chris he was 16 when he developed bi-polar and scizo-affective disorder. So, he basically heard voices in his head that aren't there. It was pretty scary for a little bit because he went completely nuts. We had to check him in the psych ward part of the hospital. And, it was pretty hard for me ,only being 9 years old at the time, and my brother being in a hospital from being "sick". They made him stay in there for about a month then he had to stay in a group home. That wasn't working out so well, so we got him an apartment. And, he wouldn't take his pills, and when you have that condition and don't take the pills it deflates the brain cells so it's harder to being the person back to normal without their pills. That's what happened to him over the years. Then, we put him about into the hospital when I was about 14 and he got better. He's taking his pills; it's hard to get his attention sometimes. But, he know knows the difference between the voices in his head and real life voices. This was pretty hard for me to go through when I was young. But, you just have to accept these things I guess. And, don't worry I bet your brother will be fine.
