Please be careful about living with someone. It may sound like fun, like playing house even. I have to tell you it's not that fun.
Being in college I have a room mate. Before you write it off simply because you think I may not have chosen said room mate for myself let me assure you that I did. The strange thing is this room mate can be the most impossibly infuriating person on the planet at moments, not because she's terrible but because she's female and let me tell you, from personal experience, women are freaking insane.
Now before you go getting all excited and ready to tell women off in your lives let me give you this caveat: only women can call women insane and even then it's a touchy subject.
Here's a case for study however.
My room mate is constantly bored and while I don't have a particular problem with that I also don't particularly enjoy her wallowing in her own boredom, thus I very quickly become annoyed with her boredom.
So I say to her:
Watch a movie, read a book, there are things to be done you just have to choose to do them.
She says to me: I don't need a freaking lecture.
Okay. Then stop looking at me imploringly as I entertain myself. That's the problem. Women are never satisfied when you attempt to solve their problems. Even I am not satisfied when someone wants to solve my problems. It somehow represents an inherent misunderstanding of what a woman was trying to say.
Take it from me when I say to you: don't live with someone until you're totally comitted to their insanity. That will certainly be my caveat to my future husband. "Sweetie I'm insane but if you're willing to live with it, so am I."
