I slowly walked swaying from side to side down the corridor to my mother's room. My feet were heavy and I staggered about off balanced, my head swam and made me feel dizzy and light headed. I was close now but I my stomach threatened to revolt on me as I struggled to get to her room. My brother was already asleep and I did not have the heart to wake him, my father was outside feeding our animals mother was my only hope for help. My eyes stung as though I had a fever and my breathing was uneven and forced as I slowly got closer to her room. I almost fell over when my foot came in contact with one of our dogs, it made me stumble forward but I caught myself steading myself with the help of the wall. I was almost to her door now and I reached out to knock on it but everything went dark....
...when I openned my eyes I was covered with soft blankets laying in my bed I looked over to see my mother's concerned face. I gave her a weak smile reasuring her that I was alright and then I slowly fell back asleep.
