Neji

The day that I was born,
And all throughout my life,
I believed that fate controlled us,
It was my double-bladed knife.
All throughout my life,
A caged bird I would be,
And I believed that our live,
Were ruled by destiny.
I may be a genius,
Who, inside people I can see,
Until a failure I knew,
Told me another way to be.
He told me fate was nothing,
But imagination’s toy,
I tried to tell him otherwise,
But he contradicted me, that boy.
He claimed that he had been through,
The exact same pain as me,
I could have proved him wrong,
But his past pain I did see.
That day he changed the way,
I see trough these blank eyes,
Although I think my past,
Was not a past of lies.
It’s strange, a failure showed me,
Something I couldn’t see,
Although my eyes see everything,
He set this caged bird free.
