Neeeeee. You're not funny. ~ Forest of Angels Chapter 7: Uneasiness and the Unforgotten Section 12
A bit later, after Ryomi had calmed down, Reika came out with Tao Chi while Ryomi was showing Tsano some of his records for school, and his recent awards. Tao Chi had gotten cleaned up, her hair and face washed, and was wearing a pair of pajamas that undoubtedly belonged to Reika. She looked a good deal happier as she sat on the couch next to a sleeping Ileno. Ryomi decided to inform Reika about what Tsano had said about Labrynuu, and her reaction took an entirely different route. “Labrynuu? Wow!” She had said excitedly in an awed whisper. Ryomi stared at her oddly as Tsano sniggered. “You mean…you want to go? What about the Ogres? And the Giants? The Harpies? Wyverns?” Reika laughed. “Are you scared of those, Ryomi?” She asked him slyly. “Err…No, I was just wondering if…if you were.” He muttered lamely. “I think it would be an adventure to go to Labrynuu! I doubt even Professor Hoffon has gone to Labrynuu. What a privilege!” Ryomi sat glumly on the couch, feeling he was over ruled.
Tsano slept in the same bedroom as Ryomi a few hours later as Tao Chi and Ileno settled into Reika’s room, lying on his side in Ryomi’s considerably large teacher’s bed, thinking hard. Tsano had offered to sleep on the floor, but Ryomi had persisted that, after walking for four days, he should sleep on a real bed. Ryomi lay on the edge of the same bed, breathing slowly and deeply. Was he asleep yet? “Ryomi…” Tsano whispered. “Ryomi. Are you asleep?” “Yes…” Ryomi muttered, then, after a moment, when Tsano didn’t answer, he said. “If I were asleep, I wouldn’t have answered you. What’s up?” Tsano shifted. “Nothing really. “I was just thinking about Labrynuu. When do you think we should leave—“ Ryomi shifted also, it sounded like he had turned to face him. “As late as possible…” He really sounded like he didn’t want to go. “I want to leave as soon as possible…” “You don’t want to check out Mejopolis a little more?” He asked. “Or see some of our old friends?” “Well…No. I don’t.” “Why?” Tsano paused. “They all know I’m an Angel now.” He said finally. “I’ve been lying to them for years, so they’ll all hate me.”
