What if everything you knew, believed in, thought was the absolute truth, was not actually truth at all, and was pulled apart and left your world upside down and inside out?
Pretty scary huh?
There is not thing that is absolute truth, there is no statement that is completely true.
Say: "The Sky is blue." - sounds pretty true to you doesn't it.
Is it really the sky?
Is it really blue?
Is that just your perception of color, where it might actually be green but you've been culturally programed to see that it's blue?
Is there even a sky?
Now you begin to wonder...you were absolutely certain that "the sky was blue" 2 seconds ago, now you're not so sure.
This is what I did on the weekend, on my Theory of Knowledge camp for school.
Sounds pretty scary, doesn't it...but that just my perception of it.
But am i really here to tell you this?
Are you really reading this?
Are we really just brains in a jar connected to something outside what you believe is real?
You decide.
