last night the wind got so bad i was worried my rabbits cage would blow over despite being between two trees. i went outside at 3 am to check on her after i heard a crash. fortunately she was just fine, it must have been the trash cans blowing around. the power flickered out three or four times. it finally gave up altogether around 5:30 or so. my sister and father actually got up and lit candles. i decided to just stay in bed. my father went to work, he had to take 3 detours because of downed trees and telephone poles. my sister was supposed to go to her internship at the tree company, but it was so windy she didn't dare try to drive across the cape bridge. so shes home with me today-oop-my fathers home now. he just told me there is no electricity at work, even though we have our power back. they sent him home at 10:30 or so and he stopped on the way to visit his parents. this day turned out to be a holiday for everyone when it should have only been a holiday for me. its kind of nice.
