.:Random short piece I wrote:.
"Hey, girly! 'Urry up with them drinks! Me mates and me are thirsty!"
Sariel rolled her eyes, resuming her task of placing full drinks on a tray. Men these days, always so impatient. It had been less than five minutes since she had last refilled their drinks, and Sariel could already tell they had fallen under the spirits. Walking over to them and flashing them a charming smile, she set the round of drinks in front of them. "There you are, sirs, enjoy." With a nod, she turned on her heel and walked away, going over to a less round table. "Hello gentlemen, may I get you anything?" Their order was placed, and Sariel again left, taking a quick peak at the clock. Her little show would start in a few minutes, giving her just enough time to fill the last order and get onto the table near the far end of the room. Sariel walked for the table, already noting the lights had dimmed and eyes were full on her. As she walked, she untied the strings on her little apron, letting it fall to the ground. Her wings lifted her onto the table, and she turned to address the crowd, music reaching her ears. Sariel began to dance on the table, her arms lifting and circling in an egyptian sort of way, while her body moved in the traditional 'Girl on a bar' way. Light beams came from her palms, dancing around her like faries. It always started out slow, sort of like a trance. Sariel sunk to the floor, looking like she was done. Lights moved around her, forming a new outfit; a short skirt and a gold bra, then vanished. A modern song came on and she rose her head, getting to her feet. Her dancing now was extremely modern, and she got off the table, walking down the row of tables. As she walked, the lights coming from her hands would form into a long snake-like shape, reaching out and touching some of the customers sitting at the tables. She sang along with the song as she walked, winking at one of the guys. The lights returned to her, circling around her, nearly engulfing her in light. She neared the end of the song and sat down on one of the male's at a table's lap, some red-haired male in glasses. She directed her lights to circle around his lips and torso, holding him to the chair as she pressed against him, singing the second to last verse, her eyes boring into his. Jumping up, she climbed onto the top of the bar, singing the very last verse. When she was done, her magic lit the entire room, then suddenly vanished, engulfing the bar in darkness. Sariel climbed off the bar, going into the backroom to change back into her work uniform. When she came back out, the lights were on and the bar was buzzing with chatter again.
