and i brought you a token of my affection,
a single rose that is nearly as lovely as you!
But my choice in flora seems more ironic every passing moment..
Though it is indeed beautiful, it has injured me.
And as I force myself not to heal, the blood runs freely
and I see more clearly just HOW much you are like this rose!
Like a flower, your beauty is transient, and with time, you also wilt away!
