AS I walk through the Midland city mall
I C St. Nick sitting on his thone
I C all the happy Children line up b4 him
Like a line of lambs to the slaughter.
Ive heard the stories in sunday school
about why we celebrate this "glorius" day
The birth of our savior they always say.
But looking around I dont see God, I dont c Jesus.
All I C are kids wishing toys, homeless growing colder, familes getting madder, debt's getting deeper.
But in all this, the business's get richer, the powerful more powerful.
This isn't about some baby born in a manger wrapped in swadling clothing.
Its about the green and the plastic, the ps3's and the wii's
Dont get me wrong, THis rant isn't because I didn't get what I want, on the contrary, I got more than what i wanted. It just pisses me off that my parents think they have to go through all this trouble for a holiday just to make me happy.
