Curiosity is what opened the vine-tangled gates
Curiosity is what led my steps down that path
That old path, sinking in and out of grass
Ragged bushes growing on their own to each side
The path takes a turn between two tall bushes
I push my way past and gasp
At the sight spreading out before me
A great rolling valley of swaying golden grass
I follow the trodden path cut through the tall grass
Running my hands through the tall golden blades
As they whisper murmurs of secrets and nothings
All the while rolling like a great golden sea
Spinning in the grass
The soft wind spinning with me
The blue sky wide above me
Only the golden grass reaching for it
Falling to the ground
Closing my eyes to the warm sun
Breathing in the sharp clean air
I thanked my curiosity
For leading me here
To this place I hadn't been
To a beauty like never before
