Lightning the Lulu

My second daughter recently moved to FL and her BF is a lifeguard. It pays fairly well. It's actually kind of funny since she never seems to wanna leave the apartment and he works outside. Whatever works for them is cool, though.

And now? I have to run around in the heat of the day. My car needs a tire and we're almost out of paper towels and a bunch of other little annoyances. I will be back later.

I'm sorry, but at least you had the break for a year. You also get to go back. Shisus, I wonder why she gives your mother so much grief? Does she have a job this summer?

That's really the important thing, you're right. Family is funny and occasionally annoying in that you don't get to pick them but you love them anyway. Unless they give you significant reasons not to, in which case I for one understand how that love can evaporate, too. In any event it's nice that you're happy for your mom and fwiw so am I. I seem destined to be alone but it's not uncomfortable for me.
Speaking of sisters, how's yours doing this summer?

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you, I wanted to give your reply some quality attention instead of just firing off something trite. I'm glad to hear you resisted the infection called College Party Syndrome...heh, I cannot say I was immune in my day but in all fairness to myself it was the 80's. The strain has no doubt mutated somewhat since then. (I am enjoying this metaphor far too much right now, haha)
I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. I lost my last two grandparents in the last ten years and wasn't able to be in PA for the funerals. It was a bit surreal. My mom has now proceeded to having to three strokes, not that she wasn't aware this type of thing was likely to occur considering her diet and weight issues. We don't speak....
A wedding sounds like a good event to participate in - what's her partner like?
