Plan an RP?



I dunno, it's a subtle balance of planning and ability to fly on the wing, I believe. I say, plan a setting, wing a plot. My most successful RP worked like that, V.I.R.A.L. I planned the setting, and by gods it was probably the most intricate setting I ever made. Then I threw in a character creation profile, a few badguys, and it went flying.

I think I underestimated how drearily the plot would move along on Slide. And here I thought, "Oh, here's an interesting setting, with people being pursued by the government, this won't fail!" But then it went on for a bit, the plot went really slow, would have been really hard to turn into a comic, and even the author couldn't figure out what to do with her character... I'd count it as a failure, cool as the idea was. Should I hold a funeral?

And then, go figure, an rp I expect no one to join has all these characters and a decently paced plot. I should juts never plan for my rpgs to be good, and then they will be. >.<
