I read about her mother, in a book about Hollywood Noir Queens. Anyways, I guess I picked the wrong word, lol. She's not exactly mysterious, it's just there's a whole lot more I'd like to find out about her, but little information seems to be available. I don't even think my library has a book about her, so I'm going to have to request one.



About the question on sewing: yes and no. Pretty much not, but I just got done taking a sewing unit for my costume college course, and I didn't do so swell, lol. I'm leaning towards doing costume design, so that's why I'm reading about Edith Head, and know bits and pieces of other Hollywood costume designers. =)

Oh yeah, you did tell me about her dancing still! It's just been awhile. As for reading about Ziegfeld Follies, I really should. I just haven't gotten caught up in dancing teams yet, and the only one I sorta know about is Marge and Gower Champion. I only know about them, because I loved them so much in Show Boat, especially the "LIfe Upon the Wicked Stage" number. So cute!



I'm currently reading about Edith Head, again, haha. I read a book about her, which was mostly written by her, but she died before completing it. Really sad, actually. My college library had another book on her, so I'm reading it as well. She is such an interesting, and inspirational women, or at least that's how I see her. If I do get around to finishing the book soon, I'll probably try to get a hold of one on Barbara Stanwyck, since she seems so mysterious in a sense, with her past life and all.

Oohh. I didn't know who the Linds were, but I just looked them up, and they sound interesting, especially since they were the most famous team in theatre history.



I also had to look up Doris Eaton, and was very much surprised to hear she was the last Ziegfeld girl! I'm sure there were many of them, and to be born in the year of 1904, and still alive...good heavens, that is a long time! Anyways, I'm not too intact with most people in the film business from back then, other than it's stars, and other players. I know a few fashion designers, such as Edith Head, and Orry Kelly, and some directors like Wal Hallis, Orson Welles, and Irving Thalberg, but that's pretty much it. D:

OH YEAH!! I forgot to tell you. I watched part of this special about Warner Brothers Tuesday night. They had bits and pieces on James Cagney, and they were hillarious, especially one scene where he was on the telephone, talking in a feminine voice! =p
