Blue Eyed Wallflower

Does your signature refer to your avatar as being like the character from White Oleander? Or are you just in an Astrid at Claire's house type situation that's none of my business?

Can't say finding neverland was interesting.
I basically love Kate Winslet though, and Johnny Depp was ok in it.
October Sky has that Jake Gyllenhal dude in it, and some other people who's faces are recognizable but you don't know their names.
It's about a kid in a coal mining town in West Virginia, who is destined to work the mines like his father and everyone before him. Until he gathered with the rest of the town to watch Sputnik fly over, and from that moment on he dreamed of building rockets, because he suddenly realized that there was a world beyond the mines and he wanted to see it. So though his father pretty much hated him for it and the rest of the town thought he was silly, he and his 3 friends started building rockets and trying to launch them, only with the support of their teacher who wanted them to succeed. Based on a true story and whatnot. I won't tell you the end in case you watch it because it's great.

Yeah. I like explosions like the next person, but when it's cold I want cuddly movies.
Nope. There are only 3 that make me cry: The Holiday, Finding Neverland, and October Sky.
No others. xD I've never even heard of that movie. I'm out of the loop. D:
But I usually don't either, just those three, and I think for good reason.
Not sure why the Holiday does it, toward the end when things just fall into place....
Finding Neverland, the end just hurts so pretty. That movie ends and I hide before anyone can see me.
And October Sky, it's the personal connection I have with the location/history and the blasted violin soundtrack.
D:

the game gonk
xD I dunno. My family likes to watch movies like, uh, star trek and Die Hard and where s**t blows up at christmas time.
I always watch The Holiday and cry like a normal person. Can't say I have good taste in movies.

xD Ahaha. I wrote a research paper on the black death.
10 pages of awesome.
I had an entire few hour long IM conversation once about the black death and ebola and plague.
Good times.
I never watched Gladiator. B| Skirts and sandals and bloodshed. It should appeal more than it does.

Caligula was nuts. Must've been all the inbreeding.
And that one Henry guy who got bored of a wife and beheaded her? xD Didn't he invent divorce? I think it must've saved lives.
I was also amused how Rome conquered just about everyone, except most of the barbarian north. It's like they got up there....it was too cold to grow their wine and the people were gross so they went home. Forget those barbarians! 1400's was when the plague went through? That was interesting.

yawsh. though i don't remember learning about joan of arc. D:
I thought all the castles and politics were interesting. All those kings seemed insane.
I really liked learning about Rome too.

I doubt that's what it said. xD But something like that. They did give out helmets. xD
I only took medieval history in college. B| Mistake. Didn't do me any good.

I think these days they are...there's a glass around them.
I guess. It seemed a bit dangerous. I have a picture of the catwalk somewhere, it was really tiny.
I'm sure they had to have safety requirements, and we did have to sign a 'if i fall and die the cave people aren't responsible' form. xD
I don't remember. I never got American History. I should probably take it.

Well, you've done it before so you can have an opinion on ice skating.
Though now I'm going to worry about skate-guillotines...and dismemberment. xD Thanks.

Ahaha, I think the beacon thingers are inside another room, so it's a catwalk sort of.
I dunno if I've ever been up high either. I was on a natural catwalk in a cave once and you could see pretty far down, no railing or anything and gonk .
Lighthouses have cliffs too sometimes, so I wouldn't want to fall out of one.
Yeah. Civil War had a ton of them. I'd go to Gettysburg so fast.

xDD Tourists are funny when they bring scarves and crap and it's 80 degrees.
xD My aunt comes to AZ during many Christmases, last year it was to work on a tan. I lol'ed and was a bit horrified. Her grand plan was to go home and look awesome to her friends who were shoveling snow and eating tons of soup.
xDD My family watches uh, Hocus Pocus every Halloween and houses just don't look like that here, and the christmas movies where they go ice skating and things. I have to be fascinated by this weird culture that I know little of. I plan on ice skating while its snowing before I die. It's like on the bucket list. xD Must do it.
Maybe in northeast NM? All I saw when I was there was dirt too. There's nothing there. And Texas. My grandpa road-tripped alot and when he'd drive through texas he'd go through that short part at the very top because driving through the middle he said he'd "never driven so far and saw so little!" lawl.
I forgot about lighthouses. They're so cool for some reason.
I'd also like to go see all those battlefields. Though that's really nerdy and old man of me. There were battles out here in the wild west, but they weren't....you can't go see those places. B| And the ones in the east are haunted ehehe.
