Based on what I read, yes and no. They've been absorbing his spirit pressure this entire time, and likely planned out Ichigo's evolution just like Aizen did. He's been nothing more than a pawn for the entire series. And the second he becomes a problem to them, every single one of his 'friends' will have no choice but to obey orders and kill him. And Ginjo basically hinted that they had planned for him to awaken his Fullbring all along? His level one Fullbring, the Shuriken-thing? Only reason he could use it was because Soul Society allowed him too. And the scene (which happened in today's episode as well) where he briefly heard Rukia's voice from his badge, saying "Ichigo would never-" She was likely saying that he would never betray Soul Society, because they were thinking he might betray them since he was with Ginjo... Even during this entire arc, he was nothing but a pawn being set up to kill a Substite Shinagami who had become useless to them long ago.

And this chapter has begun to even give me doubts as to whether Ginjo really was the first Substitute. I wouldn't be surprised if there where a lot more, most likely all killed by Soul Society.

And the last few lines before Ichigo shouts were what uryu was thinking in his head. Even he realizes Ginjo isn't lying. Given how Ichigo actually snapped and used Bankai, which is likely FAR, FAR, FARRRRRR more power than Ichigo needs to kill Ginjo, who will die. Not only are we seeing Ichigo's Bankai next week, his rage may actually awaken his hollow again as well.

Disregard everything I just said. None of it is likely true, though Urahara is seeming more and more evil. I mean... Holy s**t, this is by far the best plot twist in the entire freaking series. No one, and I mean no one saw that coming. I've never seen anyone even remotely guess this person. Come to think of it, he hasn't used his Bankai either, and unlike his friend, he gave no excuse as to why that is.

I'm only two pages into the chapter, and it's already apparent I was wrong. Isshin is likely one of Ichigo's biggest enemies, as I had guessed. He WILL fight his dad at some point, but the second page itself has made it all too obvious Urahara is far more of a manipulative b*****d than Aizen was. Which explains why he so hesitant to use his Bankai where anyone can see, because using it will reveal just how overwhelmingly powerful he doubtlessly is...

I was... Hoping the plot would never come to this. But it's only a matter of time before it's outright revealed just who the TRUE enemy of Bleach is, and it sure as hell wasn't Aizen.

So much for being like Fooly Cooly. The story just got really dark with the new chapter. A new character was introduced and killed off.
