Who knows, but it was made clear this chapter they really weren't doing this to help Ichigo become a Shinagami again. They were only after his power the entire time. Most likely because they know how powerful Ichigo actually is, so Ginjou was set to get a huge boost in power by stealing Ichigo's. Too bad both of them are screwed now. Ichigo was already prepared to kill Tsukishima. And after what Ginjou did, he's not going to be alive much longer either. And just look at Ichigo's eyes. He has the same expression as he did when he fought Aizen for the last time.

And of all the people, all of them, that could have stabbed Ichigo, I was not expecting it to be Rukia... Until I read the chapter name. The second I saw the name of the chapter, before I even opened the first page... I knew right there he would get his powers back, and that the mysterious Shinagami was Rukia. I really like that they named the chapter as a part two to the very first chapter in the entire series.
