I know, no one does, but the fact remains that we all are fall-back options to another, we're always rating and comparing (the evaluating mind) and then measuring everything that we desire and experience against ideals. I'm sorry, but that's just the truth, and as much as you'd hate to be a back-up plan for me, you will have your own row of second burners - already have, in fact, and will again. It's just scary, that it implies no assurance of permanency in love or affection. Yeah, well, so it is, and much of the things we've created culturally and behaviorally are means to avoid or defy the principle of Impermanency. Just know that I'll be careful to consider my readiness and your feelings if and ever we should fall back on you.
