As for the Mabinogi thing, noway darling, they won't take your free card away from you.
You'll lose your Nao Support, Escape Bombs, and Extra Storage if you have it. If you have stuff in the bank, you might want to move it all to the left side if there wasn't a red, blocked out area on it when you were there.

But your character will remain... Though if you feel like you can't live without Nao support and stuff, then go for it.
A pet is a nice thing to have too. You can store more stuff on them, because they have their own inventories... It's pretty useful.

Lemme see... When you first open the character creation, it'll ask you which server you want. Just click Mari, easy as that. <3 Yeah, all of the people I know play on Mari... You can't switch once you pick it, so... But it's easy. <3
