I think that you and I should have a heart-to-heart. Or at least back up at least thirteen years.

I would rather nto fight you now or any time, and when it comes down to it, I am far from coward enough to try to get the upper hand with magiks- you deserve a fair fight if we absolutely have to. I hold, at least, that much respect for you.

You and I have never really seen eye to eye, but I would rather work out any aggrivating differences than let them fester and build into more irritation. This is not a request from a former Summoner, or a resident of Bevelle, but as a man who would be deeply honored to be part of a family he only barely started to know.

Hmm. You still call me 'boy', even after all these years.

Never once have I sought out nor asked for your forgiveness related to your sister. We were happy together and deeply in love- even now I still hope that you can eventually accept that we were simply young and in love. Very much in love.

As for trouble, well, perhaps. I always was one to seek it out and take it head-on than simply let chances slip through my fingers like grains of sand. I was never one to remain idle for long.

Even when I was not there for my daughter, I did everything in my power to make sure she was well provided for. I had hoped that with her living so far away from Bevelle that it would be easier for you and your children to see her more often. Family was always important to us- and it still is to me. I love my daughter dearly.

As for crossing you, well, I'm sure we're still overdue for a full-on fist fight over the fact I whisked your little sister away. I can hold my own surprisingly well when it comes down to it.

Do not undermine my power, though. While my Guardians excelled with physical attacks, I trained heavily in all colors of magic.

Honestly, Cid. It's been so long since you and I talked. I hope that, at some point, you and I will be able to see eye to eye.
