Most people are humans, so that's good. 3nodding Humans can do magic and stuffs, but Witches and Warlocks are sort of seen as like... a little weird.

Sorta. Maybe. The floating islands are sorta like the things in Avatar, only they were lifted up from the ocean far, far below with magic by a devious little deity years ago. Instead of magnetic stuffs.

There's:
Humans. They're the most common and most powerful in this worldy place.

What the humans call Oathkeepers, which are these really tall green guys with tendrils out the back of their heads and spiky finger-claws. Their inherent magic is that when two people of any species make a promise to each other on an oathkeeper, that promise can't be broken by either party. If it is, the oathkeeper won't rest until they have killed the person who broke the promise, or the oathkeeper themself is killed. Under the human regime, they used to be treated as slaves, but now are technically free. They're still sort of seen as inferior.

What the humans call Ancients, who look and act like humans almost exactly except that they live forever. Their physical appearance matches their emotional maturity, and they can only reproduce when fully emotionally mature. After that, they leave for an alternate dimension called Paradise, provided that they haven't broken any major Ancient laws or anything.

And then there's these things that I don't really have names for that are essentially living airships. They're really rare, and you can't tell them apart from real airships except for that they don't run on fuel, they run on lifeforce. They have to be fed animals (or sentients, if you're a douchebag) three times a day in order to keep afloat, but travel twenty times as fast as normal ships. There are only a hundred left in the world, and no one knows where they are.

Yeah. I have several different characters. I've told you this before.
